Week 3: Hawaii

Week 3 I actually got this one done on time! I seriously just need to take the time and write at the end of my day, instead of lolly gagging and procrastinating until the last minute. ENJOY!  Monday- Wednesday: I sat on the beach, ate, and worked these three days. Nothing too exciting for you but for me, 2/3 shifts were busy! My first night I just had two very sick patients and then my third night, my admit was crashing from 1-6am. Nothing like adrenaline to keep you up for the hours you want to be sleeping!  Thursday: After working three shifts in a row, I was dead. I just hung around my studio until I went to mass with the Bishop of Honolulu presiding. A few weeks ago I saw this mass in the Church bulletin so I decided to sign up. Tomorrow is the March For Life, so this was a vigil mass for the Pro Life movement. I know the main focus is to abolish abortion because if you do not respect life at the beginning how will our country ever respect life in general. The bishop’s...

Week 2  Sorry for the late post but life caught up with me this week and I couldn't find the words for Sunday's post until today. It is not everything I wanted to say but it is all I could. Thank you for continually following along. I keep going because of you and therefore I am blessed that I will have writings of all my adventures.  Monday      Today I started my day off with zoom orientation for the health system. The only thing good about it was the two hour break to work on assignments. I did them when I was in quarantine so I had two hours of free time. Well the water called me so I went to the beach. I can’t believe I can do that. Just casually go to the beach on my lunch break. After all was said and done, I went on my first solo hike! Koko Head is a set of railroad ties that work as stairs up the side of a ridge. I thought it wasn’t too bad at first but I was wrong. I almost threw up on the climb, while there were super fit people running past me. These...

WEEK 1?? Monday 1/4 Day 8 Quarantine       Today I spent hours reading because I couldn’t put my book down! Well a few times I actually had to put it down because I was blown away by the references to both Scripture and the Jewish tradition. This part of the book detailed the Last Supper in regards to a Jew of Jesus’s time. I saw the Last Supper through the eyes of the apostles and I know why they couldn’t leave Jesus. It really put into perspective the etiology of the Catholic mass. I could go on and on about this book because it changed the way I see my faith.  When you love someone, you want to learn more and more about them and that’s the same way it should be with God. He wants to us to fall in love with Him and learn more about who He is. I usually learn about Jesus through the Catholic perspective but seeing Him through the people of His time, is something else. You don’t truly know someone until you understand where they come from. So that’s what I did f...
